Beginning a relationship with Jesus Christ is easy: The Bible says, "Whoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13).  It's as simple as "A, B, C".

A - Admit you are a sinner. Each of us has a problem the bible calls sin, a refusal to acknowledge God's authority over our lives.  Everyone who does not live a a life of perfect obedience to the Lord is guilty of sin.  Since none of us is perfect, all of us are sinners (Romans 3:10-18).  The rest of sin is spiritual death and eternal seperation from God.

B - Believe that Jesus died to pay the penalty for your sins.  Although we have done nothing to deserve His love and salvation, God wants us to save us.  In the death of Jesus on the cross, God provided salvation for all who would repent of their sins and place their faith in Christ.

C - Confess Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life.  The desire in your heart to be saved is the Holy Spirit offering you the forgiveness of your sin and the gift of eternal life.  Admit your sin and ask Jesus to deliver you from its consequences.  Yield control of your life to Him as your Lord and Savior, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10).

If you have not already received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, you can do it right now. All you need to do is surrender to Him.

Here is a prayer of repentance that you can follow:

Dear Jesus,

Please forgive me of all my sins. I trust You as my Savior. Come into my life right now. I am giving You complete control. Help me to learn how to let You live through me.

Thank You,
Amen.

If you have just prayed that prayer then you need to let someone know about it. This is such an exciting time in your life. Please call (408) 578-7729 or e-mail us at oakgrovians@sbcglobal.net and we are willing to help you start the greatest adventure of your life -- growing in your relationship with Christ. The Bible tells us to "grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18). A great way to grow is by attending Bible studies as well as studying the Bible on your own.
